China International Education Exhibition Tour, Beijing, Dalian, Xi'an, Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan, Guangzhou

It is the largest education fair in China and since it started in 1999, has toured more than 20 major Chinese cities. More than 1,300 institutions from 30 countries and regions have participated in the fair during the past 12 years. Education is big business, and it is now being supported by most of the foreign embassies or governmental sectors and all relevant media channels. During the Beijing leg, this event will consist of China Study Abroad Forum and seminars under different sub-themes.

TNT Theater China Tour, Beijing

TNT theater was founded in 1980 in Britain and since then has established itself as one of the most popular international touring theater companies in the world. The Chinese Cultural Center in Paris will screen Chinese films and documentaries for free. Exhibition of Miao ethnic group in Guizhou province, Paris

The Miao is one of the 56 ethnic groups in China. In the 2000 census, there were 8.94 million Miao people in the country, and half of them live in Guizhou province. Miao costume has special meaning and decorative motifs are of great beauty with each creation unique and of infinite variety. This exhibition reveals the function and different styles of the Miao costumes and the techniques of embroidery, brocade and batik used to help make them.

The Unilever Series: Ai Weiwei, London

Ai Weiwei is a Chinese artist, curator, architectural designer, and social commentator. The work being exhibited this time, Sunflower Seeds, is made up of thousands of small works, each apparently identical, but actually unique. However realistic they may seem, these life-sized sunflower seed husks are in fact intricately hand-crafted in porcelain.
