First Kenya-Asia-Pacific cultural event boosts exchanges

China had a wider representation in the event from the University of Nairobi and Kenyatta University's Confucius institutes. There are a total of four institutes in Kenya, with Egerton and Moi universities hosting the other two. Li emphasized the strong Sino-Kenyan relationship and disclosed that the embassy would soon award 69 full scholarships to young Kenyans to train in China.
Also present was Christopher Chika, the director of Asia and Australasia from the ministry of foreign affairs, who noted that the success of the event may lead to similar events held in different parts of the country and region yearly. "This platform shows the benefit of people-to-people exchanges, where we interact and learn from each other while appreciating our diversity. We also have the opportunity to taste different foods.
