Local residents and tourists can find public toilets more easily in Harbin, capital city of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, officials from the city's urban management and law enforcement bureau said on Wednesday.
"By the end of August, Harbin has constructed and renovated 2,654 public toilets in the urban areas," said Tong Xiaoyu, deputy director of the bureau. "Another 78 toilets will be put into operation after construction."
Over the past month, workers from the bureau finished taking photos and recording electronic information on all public toilets, excluding 318 located in scenic spots that require paid admission.
All the information has been uploaded to Gaode and Baidu online maps.
