Executive Councilor and barrister Ronny Tong Ka-wah strongly encourages an end to the violence since it may force the District Council elections to be postponed this Sunday. Such a delay would have international ramifications, and the city may run the risk of not having a District Council after Jan 1, and this is not a situation that Hong Kong residents would like to see.
