PLA to participate in peacekeeping exercise in Mongolia

The Chinese military will send troops to attend a multinational peacekeeping exercise in Mongolia, a new defense spokesman announced on Friday.
At the invitation of the Mongolian Ministry of National Defense, the People's Liberation Army Ground Force will send a contingent to Mongolia this month to participate in the Khan Quest 2023 multinational peacekeeping exercise, said Senior Colonel Zhang Xiaogang, a new spokesman for China's Defense Ministry.
According to the ministry, Zhang, born in 1977, has been serving as the deputy chief for the ministry's information office since June last year.
He studied at the PLA Academy of Military Sciences and received his doctorate in military strategy.
