The Youth Exchange Camp for Singaporean Students at Nantong Vocational University commenced in Nantong, Jiangsu province, on March 24.
During the 12-day camp, students from the Institute of Technical Education in Singapore will explore Nantong's vibrant culture and technology.
As the host, NTVU has designed practical courses that blend tradition with modernity for the exchange camp.
In the technology field, campers are set to learn about the applications of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technology. They will visit high-end manufacturing enterprises in the city, observing intelligent production lines and precision instrument development processes up close.
Cultural experience activities include trying hanfu, Chinese ink painting and calligraphy, making pottery, tie-dyeing, and appreciating traditional musical instruments to immerse these students in the artistic charm of Chinese culture.
During the camp, participants will also explore Nantong's history and natural landscape. From Nantong Museum to the museum cluster along the Haohe River, from the rippling waves of Zilang Lake to the convergence of the Yangtze River and the Yellow Sea, they will understand Nantong's history as one of the birthplaces of China's modern national industry and experience the city's charm through strolls.
