The Inner Mongolia autonomous region has finished constructing a critical power transmission line expected to enhance the overall energy supply capacity, according to local authorities.
The Bayankhangai-Shengli 500-kilovolt transmission project became fully connected on May 22. It is a key initiative outlined in the national 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) for power development and a crucial support project for transmitting clean electricity.
Spanning 183.32 kilometers across Xiliin Gol, the 475 million yuan ($66 million) infrastructure features 437 transmission towers.
Built by State Grid Inner Mongolia Eastern Electric Power, the line links the Bayankhangai Substation in Sonid Left Banner to the Shengli Substation in Xiliinhot.
