Hainan Airlines keeps elite five-star status

China's Hainan Airlines was certified as a five-star airline on Tuesday by Skytrax, a London-based international air transport rating organization, securing its place among the world's top carriers for the 14th consecutive year.
Skytrax made the announcement at the 55th Paris Air Show during the unveiling of the 2025 edition of its World Airline Awards, often referred to as the "Oscars of Aviation".
Hainan Airlines was also named the "Best Airlines in China", "Best Airlines Staff Service in China", and "Best Business Class Comfort Amenities".
Zhu Tao, vice-president of HNA Aviation Group, the parent company of Hainan Airlines, and chairman of Hainan Airlines, said his company is truly honored to receive the recognition, and the award reflects the team's dedication, as they stay true to their original mission, guided by craftsmanship and driven by sincerity and care, working to make every journey warm, comfortable, and worry-free.
Looking ahead, Zhu said the airline will continue to enhance its end-to-end service model, delivering exceptional travel experiences to passengers around the world.
Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax, said the awards represent "very substantial achievements" for Hainan Airlines, especially in winning the title of best airline in China.
"Their award for the best airline staff service in China is a great success for the management and front-line staff of Hainan Airlines, and taking the title for the world's best business class comfort amenities demonstrates the highest comfort levels they provide to customers onboard," he added.
According to Hainan Airlines, it currently operates 67 international and regional routes, offering nonstop service from major hubs in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Chongqing to key global cities such as Paris, Rome, Milan, Tokyo, Tel Aviv, and Boston.
