Xi's speech at CIIE draws positive reactions

Sanofi greatly appreciates President Xi's confidence in bolstering opening-up and fostering collaboration. As one of the first multinational pharma companies to have presence in China, we have always been committed to playing an active role in the country's healthcare ecosystem over the past 36 years. Sanofi is accelerating the development and introduction of new drugs. By 2025, at least 16 new products and indications are expected to be launched in China, especially in the areas of cancer, chronic diseases, rare diseases and vaccination.
Sanofi is also actively responding to the Belt and Road Initiative. Prior to the CIIE, Sanofi launched the China Health Road Program which targets primary healthcare in China, with a package plan to provide long-term training for general practitioners starting in seven cities. By 2020, the program will cover 94 percent of the areas along the Belt and Road in China. At the CIIE, Sanofi will also hold the China Health Road Symposium.
