French newspapers reported Monday that President Nicolas Sarkozy is romancing supermodel-turned-pop singer Carla Bruni, just two months after his divorce.
Sarkozy, 52, and Bruni, 38, were photographed together at the Disneyland theme park near Paris on Saturday.
The respected news weekly L'Express posted a photo of the duo on its Internet site, and at least two other magazines said they would run the images.
The president's office would not comment on their status. But the daily Le Figaro ran a front-page image of Bruni on Monday with the headline: "Carla Bruni: The President's Girlfriend."
Christophe Barbier, the editor of L'Express, said he called Bruni before going public with the story.
"She confirmed the relationship," he said.
Sarkozy and Bruni visited Disneyland when the park was thronged with visitors, L'Express reported. Several photographers reportedly were on hand and openly snapped photos of the pair, who seemed at ease with the attention.
Colombe Pringle, editor of Point de Vue magazine, said she believed Sarkozy and Bruni made themselves available to photographers deliberately.
"Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni wanted people to know," she told. "Otherwise, I don't know why they would have gone to Euro Disney to look at the Mickey (Mouse) parade."
Sarkozy has two sons from his first marriage and one son from his 11-year marriage to Cecilia Sarkozy, which ended in divorce in October.
He is the first French president to divorce while in office.
Bruni was born in Italy and is the heiress to a tyre manufacturing fortune. She was a top fashion model before turning to pop music. She has been linked in the past to a number of famous men, including rocker Mick Jagger and mogul Donald Trump.

據法國報紙本周一報道，離婚剛兩個月的薩科奇總統戀上了超級名模兼流行歌手卡拉?布魯妮。
上周六，52歲的薩科奇總統被拍到與38歲的布魯尼在巴黎附近的迪斯尼公園游覽。
廣受尊重的法國《快報》周刊在其網站上發布了一張兩人的照片，另外至少有兩家雜志也準備刊登兩人在迪斯尼公園游玩的照片。
法國總統辦公室拒絕對此事發表評論。但《費加洛日報》在其本周一的頭版上刊登了一張布魯尼的照片，標題是“卡拉?布魯尼：總統先生的新歡”。
《快報》編輯克里斯托弗?巴比爾說，這篇稿子見報之前，他給布魯尼打了電話。
他說：“布魯尼承認了她與薩科奇總統的關系。”
《快報》報道說，薩科奇總統與布魯尼出現在迪斯尼公園時，公園里滿是游客。
據悉，當時在場的幾名攝影記者公開拍攝兩人在一起的照片，而薩科奇總統和布魯尼面對“狗仔隊”則顯得很從容。
《觀點》雜志的編輯科洛姆比?普林格爾說，她覺得兩人是有意讓記者拍照。
她說：“薩科奇總統和布魯尼想讓人們知道他們的關系。否則，我實在想不通為什么他們會去歐洲迪尼斯樂園觀看米老鼠大游行。”
今年10月，薩科奇總統與妻子塞西莉亞結束了11年的婚姻。薩科奇與第一任妻子育有兩個兒子，與塞西莉亞育有一個兒子。
薩科奇是法國歷史上首位在任期間離婚的總統。
布魯尼出生于意大利，是一家知名輪胎制造廠的財產繼承人。她曾是超級模特，之后轉行成為流行歌手，曾與搖滾歌手米克?賈格爾、大亨唐納德?特朗姆普等很多名人傳過緋聞。
